Former pharmaceutical industry worker lands job through ARRA funding
By Argonne National Laboratory
April 2010
Donna Ferguson was working at a large pharmaceutical company in Ann Arbor, Mich., when she learned three years ago that her branch was closing.
It was an unexpected and unwanted shake-up in her career.
Ferguson found part-time work in the Detroit area, but soon felt it was time to move on.
She was overjoyed to land a job as a quality assurance and assessment engineer at Argonne. She started in October, thanks to funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
